A new chapter

 I moved! I moved across the country and it has been a ride, to say the least.  I didn't realize how expensive moving would be, I basically blew through my savings rip. I started a new job and it has been great^ While I do miss west coast, the east coast has its perks. I am excited for seasons and SNOWWW!

7 years have elapsed: COVID and Floyd

I just checked when my last post was published... and it was 7 years ago. I was in highschool when I first began this and now I am less than a week away from graduating college. It doesn't seem like 7 years have passed, they say days go by slowly, but the months fly by. I agree. 

Have I learned anything of substantial value, you ask? Plenty. Too much to fit into one post, truly. However, the greatest lesson I've learned is the value of life. Truthfully, I don't know if my newfound awareness of my mortality is due to natural process of aging and seeing those around me pass. Whether independent or connected, college has certainly allowed me to understand that my time is limited and should therefore be invested in what makes me fulfilled. Thank you, because I have found what makes me happy.

In the wake of COVID-19 and the death of George Floyd, I realize now more than ever that while life is priceless it is transient. We all have a role in this life, I've found mine, have you?

Why Do I Want To Go?

College

  I want  to go college for many reasons, primarily because I want a better  life for me and my parents. My parents have sacrificed a lot and providing them  with a stable future is the least I can do for them. I also want to go to college because I want to figure out my purpose, what I am meant to do. I want to meet new people outside the Hispanic community and make money. College is not synonymous with being successful , but it can lead to being successful .

When I think of my dreams I think of being a surgeon, a cardio thoracic surgeon. I think of helping people and with their problems, I think of all the happy faces I will leave my patients with, with that better healthier life I have given them.

 

 

 

This will be my first bleeder while i am operating on my a aheart, ata this point in time i will have to locate the bleeder before my patient dies.

 

  .This will be the heart i have repaired, this heart the style the way it is, will be my thrive, ehy i study medicine. This heart to me is the most bueatiful muscle in the body.

My Future
When i think of my future, i think of hospitals, th E.R etc.. If you are puzzeld my future would include me being a doctor. A cardio thoracic surgeon to be specific.My thrive to become a doctor is unexplainable words that can not be described. Sometimes i get mad atn myself for wanting to be a doctor so bad, because with that comes me achieving a 4.o g.p.a every cemester studying extra hard, just to try to class valedectorian and one day becoming a doctor. I ask myself why do i want to be a doctor so bad? Its unexplainable.When i think of my future i see my self saving lives, placing smiles in families, but i also see mistakes. Though i would not like to make a mistake, its inevitable. That day will come when someone dies, all i have to do is learn from it and do better next time.I would like to be remembered as a resilient person, someone who always chose the right. I want to be someones role model, for people to look up to me and say WOW  i want to be like her. So that would conculed my short essay about me and my future.

My Goals

I have many goals for this school year school related and non school related. I would like to maintain a 4.0 gpa the entire school year, i know it wont be easy but i've done it before so i know i can maintain that goal. By the end of my senior year i would like to be class valecdectorian. My non-related school goals would inquire me to be more "out there". By that i mean i would like to join a community service group so i can give back to the community for example volunteer at a soup kitchen. Lastly, i would like to get an interniship to a hospital.

Busy

Hi, well what can i say thiers alot of things happening yesterday was our family social for our school HPIAM, which is an awsome school. I plan to join leadership which i excpect to be fun. So till next time this is Carla saying goodbye :D
